MindNode is a truly awesome, but simple, mindmapping application for the Mac. The app comes in three different “flavours”: a free version, a pro version and an iPhone version. This screencast covers the free version only a few features are “pro only”.

   I already used Mind Node to some degree as I found Xmind a bit bloated, freemind too ugly and Omnigraffle too copious in handling. I also had a look at the Pro/nonPro comparison chart, but seeing it in the screencast is different. The automatic layout is what I like best.

   I am not sure which one actually is my favourite feature since I am still unsure whether it should be the Smart Layout or the various exporting possibilities…

   But I’ll settle with Smart Layout. =)

   Sieht alles sehr einfach zu bedienen aus. Das gefält mir besonders.

   Vor allem auch die Smart Layout Funktion.

   Ich benutze momentan noch die Free-Version und was dieser total fehlt ist die phänomenale “Smar Layout”-Funktion…

    Am Besten gefällt mir an MindNode, das ich meine wilden Gedanken ordnen (lassen) kann, bevor ich den Durchblick verliere. Also: smart Layout. Das wäre auch was für meinen Bruder.

    Mein Lieblingsfeature: Die komplette Map ins Clipboard kopieren. Damit kann ich es direkt in eine Email oder in ein Dokument mit übernehmen.

    My favorite feature: Copy entire mind map to the clipboard. So I can use it directly in an email or my documents.

    Ich bin schon lange euer Podcast-Abonent, da mich dieses Programm aber besonders reizt, will ich auch mal mein Glück versuchen. Die Verknüfung der verschiedenen Nodes finde ich ziehmlich cool, würde bei mir öfters zum Einsatz kommen..

    ..Und gleich nochmal auf Twitter :P

    Kleine clevere Idee mit grosser Wirkung ist die veränderbare Breite für die einzelnen Knoten. Das ist bei viel teureren Werkzeugen oft ein Ärgernis.

    Einen weiteren Pluspunkt gibt es für die multiplen Master Nodes, um z.B. einen Legende anzulegen. Super Tool und sagenhaft günstig.

    Ich finds klasse das as App so einfach zu händeln ist. Denn durch die ShortCuts scheint das alles sehr schnell zu gehen!

    Ich habe bisher Freemind benutzt und schätze darum natürlich die Möglichkeit des Freemind Im- und Export.

    Aber auch Smart Layout ist ein tolles Feature.

    Allein durch die einfache Bedienung mit den Shortcuts macht das Zusehen bei der Arbeit mit MindNode Spass! Die guten Export-Möglichkeiten überzeugen. Danke für den Screencast.

    Mir gefällt auch das Smart Layout Feature am besten und dann natürlich noch der Hyperlink Support. Das wäre beides sehr nützlich bei Referat- und Prüfungsvorbereitungen
