TextExpander 3 is one of the most recommended applications on the Mac. For myself it has become one of those apps I won’t live without. I install TextExpander 3 immediately on every new Mac. So essential has the application become.

My favorite feature has to be the new Fill-ins feature. This single feature will actually reduced my number of snippets considerably and make my work speed even faster. I didn’t think this was possible :)

Mein Lieblingsfeature ist der Dropbox Sync!
One of the great things I like about text expander besides its elegant simplicity is the way I create email lists for forwarding news and review articles from web sites to my friends.
Die App steht eigentlich auch schon lange auf meinem Wunschzettel. Aber bisher war mir der Preis noch zu hoch. Jetzt ist die Frage, ob ich den Coupon benutzen kann, oder hoffe, dass ich hier gewinne ;) Ich werd wohl auf das Gewinnspiel warten! :D
Ein besonderes Lieblings-Feature hab ich nicht, aber allein der Gedanke, nicht mehr in jedem Formular meine E-Mail-Adresse ausschreiben zu müssen, gefällt mir schon :)
Mein Lieblings-Feature sind die Autocorrect-Snippets, in denen z.B. die 100 häufigsten Vertipper aus der englischen Sprache enthalten sind.
Mein Lieblingsfeature in der 3er-Version: endlich als eigenständige Applikation umgesetzt! Würde mich über eine Lizenz super freuen!

Ich habe die 2er Version im Einsatz und würde mich auf die 3er freuen.
Mein Lieblingsfeature sind wohl Fill-ins mit denen ich einige mehr oder weniger gleiche Snippets aufräumen könnte und einem aber noch zusätzlich so viele neue Möglichkeiten offen stehen.

Ich habe TextExpander noch nie benutzt. Finde die Idee aber genial, dass man “mfg” schreibt und es automatisch ausgeschrieben wird in unterschiedlichen Programmen.

I use TextExpander 2 quite a bit (for instance I entered all the information about who I am and my email address above using it). The two main great features I see about TE3 are:
I have not yet upgraded to TE3 because I feel there is a lot of overlap with Keyboard Maestro, which I recently discovered (thanks to you ;-). I would really like if you could highlight what you do in TE3 (or TE2) that cannot be done in Keyboard Maestro.

Re difference Keyboard Maestro/TextExpander:
TE obviously is missing triggers. My most favourite and most helpful and most awesome apps at the moment are TextExpander, LaunchBar and Keyboard Maestro. I love them. Quicksilver sucks pretty much compared to LaunchBar plus Keyboard Maestro. It has never been so well though out. It looks like a bad joke compared to LB and KM if you ask me. ;)
It’s telling me it’s not a valid coupon (when I choose the upgrade option). It’s unfortunately common for coupons to only work for new purchasers.
I agree about LB and KM being amazing. I just have some trouble seeing the place of TE there. (It seems to me that most or even everything that TE can do may be done using KM, the only things I haven’t tried are date math and fill-in …)
Das beste Feature ist für mich die Fill-ins! Aber auch auch die Autokorrektur von Tippfehlern ist genial! So kann ich auch mal spät am Abend E-Mails schreiben ohne zeitaufwendig alle Vertipper zu korrigieren. ;-)
Die Sortierung der verscheidenen in Ordnern ist sehr hilfreich, da ich ja nicht nur an einem Thema arbeite
My favorite feature is without a doubt the new Fill-ins feature. I’m currently using Typinator and I wish it could have this powerful feature.
Also ich finde ja diese Fill-In Funktion richtig klasse. Das ist ne mächtige Sache und für viele Dinge zu nutzen…
Die Unterstützung von Fill-ins in Kombination mit Syncing über Dropbox macht TextExpander wirklich zu einem sehr genialen Tool.
Mir gefällt gut, dass TE jetzt eine eigene Anwendung ist. Retweet steht. ;)

das programm ist echt der bringer. die fill-ins sind ja echt genial, ich hab mich für solche sachen immer mit applescripts rumgeschlagen.

Habe eigentlich zwei absolute Lieblingsfeatures, zum einem die extreme Zeitersparnis und zu anderem der dropbox sync.
Also für mich sind dropbox sync und die zeitersparnis welche mir das tool bringt absolute das beste
Die neue Formularfunktion finde ich am interessantesten. Das hat sonst keiner.

Autokorrektor in der Zwischenablage
Die Formularfunktion ist für mich ein Hit. Eine ungemeine Zeitersparnis bei Emails und Briefen. Ein einfaches unkompliziertes Programm mit vielen zeitsparenden Funktionen, macht dieses Programm zu einem “must have”.
After using Keyboard Maestro since the screencast here (and purchasing it, thanks for the coupon!), I’ve come to realise it does everything TE does, and more. The main difference is that TE makes things a little bit easier, for instance for date arithmetic or multiple input fields. But KM can do these as well, for instance date arithmetic using shell scripts or applescripts (version 4.3 will allow to insert some text according to the output of a script, in the meantime one can use the clipboard), and multiple input using named clipboards and “display dialog” applescripts.
Dropbox sybc, without a doubt, is the best feature
@admartinator: Ist eigentlich ein TextExpander bug. Hab ihn schon gemeldet. Date math funktioniert nicht, wenn man ein anderes Snippet drauf anwendet. Sowas zum Beispiel: %@+14D%snippet:dsd%
