Nachdem ich die App jetzt einige Tage benutzt habe muss ich sagen: Super.

Wenn in 1.1. dann noch die Funktion kommt, dass die Anwendungen auch wieder geschlossen werden harmoniert das super mit meinen anderen Workflows und spart viel geklicke.

Gewinn wäre super, ansonsten freue ich mich auch über den Discount.

Sieht sehr nett gemacht aus. Und ich kann so ein Programm gut brauchen :) Allerdings hab ich ein ähnliches Setup schon mit Keyboard Maestro (zum Beenden von Programmen, etc.) und Minuteur (als Timer).

Der Discount-Preis ist aber wirklich sehr verlockend...

Ich wollte heute morgen gegen halb zehn anfangen noch ein bisschen was zu schaffen, setze mich an mein Macbook und alles endet darin, dass ich Facebook, Twitter und meine RSS Feeds lese und mich daraufhin nochmal eine Stunde ins Bett lege. Eben habe ich euren Screencast gesehen, mein Concentrate Profil eingerichtet und bin jetzt seit einer Stunde ablenkungsfrei am Arbeiten. Also ja: ich brauche eine Lizenz ;)

Danke für die Review. Hab's gerade getestet. Gefällt mir sehr gut, ich mag das "Baukastensystem", wenn man sich seine Aktivitäten erstellt. Super ist auch das gleich das entsprechende Progamm gestartet wird. Perfekt wäre noch, wenn man manche Programme gar nicht mehr starten könnte.

Hilft mir besonders bei Gehörbildung, Klavier spielen, Produzieren, etc, damit ich nicht alle 2 Minuten verführt werden News, Tweets, IMs zu checken!

Endlich mal eine tolle mac related Screencasts Website! (mm ok Screencasts Online ist auch gut aber diese ist gratis ;-) Danke für das Review von Concentrate. Ich würde sehr gerne eine Lizenz gewinnen und der Zeitpunkt könnte nicht besser sein, ich arbeite gerade an meiner Magisterarbeit und verbringe ab und zu zu lange in Facebook oder Google Reader… hoffen wir mal, dass meine Willenskraft gepaart mit diesem Tool den Ablenkungsversuchungen widerstehen können ;-)

I know that this type of app. sounds kind of silly, but anything to help with the ADD is appreciated. Also, I currently use the app space suit to put different desktop images on each of my spaces to differentiate the types of tasks I’m doing (roughly GTD style: collect, process, do) and associate apps with those spaces (Mail, OmniFocus, DreamWeaver) and I’m used to that. This app looks like a good way to bring that work flow to a different level when I don’t want the other spaces I have to be so readily available to switch between.

thanks a lot for the fast response. Everything works fine now and I set up my own rules already. I like it a lot so far. I´d like to see a function to hide the dock icon, though. As beautiful as it is: A big orange is quite distracting ;)

Ein Fix dafür wurde bereits hochgeladen und liegt unter http://getconcentrating.com beziehungsweise “Check for Updates” der aktuellen Version bereit. Concentrate sollte sich automatisch updaten lassen.

Entschuldige die Unannehmlichkeiten, hoffe du gibst der Anwendung noch eine Chance.

Many apologies for the “Persistent store migration failed, missing mapping model” error. A fix for this has been posted and is available at http://getconcentrating.com Or you can “Check for Updates” in the current version and it should update itself.

Sorry for the trouble, hope you’ll give it another shot.

Ich liebe Produktivität fördernde Apps. Ich arbeite derzeit mit Spaces. Wenn ich mich voll auf’s Programmieren konzentrieren möchte, blende ich auf einen anderen Desktop. Leider krieg ich trotzdem noch die ganzen Twitter, ICQ und Mailstörungen mit, weil sich das Dock & Growl bemerkbar machen. Und jedes mal auf’s neue Growl ein- und auszuschalten (und dann vergessen wieder einzuschalten) nervt auf Dauer. Das Programm scheint der richtige Lösungsansatz zu sein.
